Void Pearl is a black-glaze oil-spot Jian Zhan distinguished by clustered silver–blue crystalline formations suspended within a deep iron-rich glaze.
This uncommon hand-held vessel form was developed by the artist through reinterpretation of historical tea wares. Its rounded profile and low center of gravity create a distinctly different presence from standard Jian Zhan forms, while requiring a higher level of control during forming and firing.
Selected for its balanced crystal distribution and structural harmony, this work reflects both the technical precision of contemporary oil-spot firing and the individuality of handmade Jian ware.
Fully handmade, individually numbered, and inherently unique.
