A green jade-type glaze formed through compartmented dragon kiln firing, where mineral ash integrates beneath a fully vitrified surface.
Fired at approximately 1100 °C in a wood-fired compartmented dragon kiln, mineral ash carried by flame enters the glaze melt and becomes structurally integrated beneath the surface. The result reflects a vitrified glaze shaped by both material composition and kiln interaction.
Color outcomes vary naturally across firings, ranging from pale milky tones to green depending on kiln position and atmosphere. As a result, assembling pieces with closely matched characteristics into a single set is uncommon.
Fully handmade in Shuiji Town, Jianyang, Fujian, using local iron-rich clay and naturally occurring mineral glaze.
