A Cha-Mo (tea-dust type) Jian Zhan wood-fired in the 100-meter Skyward Dragon Kiln of Jianyang, Fujian.
Fired under the extended flame path of a large dragon kiln, continuous variation in temperature gradients, ash interaction, and oxidation–reduction atmosphere drives phase separation within the iron-rich glaze, forming the crystalline structure characteristic of the Cha-Mo system.
The resulting structure is determined by kiln position and local firing conditions, with each piece representing a non-repeatable outcome of long-cycle wood firing.
The high iron content of the Jianyang clay body supports stable glaze formation and long-term durability in use.
Handmade in Shuiji Town, Jianyang, Fujian, using local iron-rich clay and naturally iron-bearing mineral glaze.
