Where cascading light unveils the hidden aurora of fire.

Aurora Cascade represents one of The Phoenix Kiln’s most captivating bright-flame wood-fired Yohen glazes—an exclusive creation born in the dragon kiln, where open flame and drifting ash sculpt crystalline streams of molten aurora across iron-rich clay.
Emerald, sapphire, and silver tones merge in flowing strata, recalling the northern lights mirrored upon still water. At the center, faint violet gleams emerge beneath the glaze, revealing quiet depth and movement.
In daylight, the vessel rests in oceanic calm—blue and teal in soft harmony. Under LED light, it awakens: radiant with cascading brilliance, each crystalline vein alive with spectral light.
Along the rim remains a subtle trace of the kiln’s flame—a natural mark, not a flaw, affirming its passage through true wood fire. Each Aurora Cascade is singular: a convergence of atmosphere, ash, and time that can never repeat.

Handmade in Shuiji Town, Jianyang, Fujian, with local iron-rich clay and naturally iron-bearing mineral glaze.

Details
• Diameter: 10.5 cm (4.1 in)
• Height: 4.6 cm (1.8 in)
• Capacity: 125 ml (4.2 fl oz)
• Weight: 165 g (5.8 oz)

• Note:

Along the inner rim, a small section shows a natural thinning of the glaze where the curve transitions downward. Another area displays slight glaze undulation formed by the movement of flame and molten glaze during wood firing. Both variations are inherent to dragon-kiln Yohen work and are not considered flaws.

– Capacity measured close to the rim; for use, suggested to fill about 70% full.
– Dimensions and weight are measured by hand; slight variation may occur.
