Collection: Starveil - Oil-spot Jian Zhan

TPK Exclusive.

Starveil is The Phoenix Kiln’s signature electric-kiln oil-spot series. Dense metallic oil-spot crystallization forms across a deep iron glaze during high-temperature firing in Shuiji Town, Jianyang.

Silver, steel, and occasional blue tones emerge within the crystalline field as the glaze separates and crystallizes within a narrow firing range. The spots appear suspended within the glaze layer, creating a stable mid-glaze crystalline structure characteristic of refined contemporary oil-spot Jian ware.

Subtle under ambient light and more reflective under directed illumination, each piece develops its own crystalline distribution. Individually numbered and selectively released, every vessel represents a precise and controlled interpretation of the oil-spot tradition.
