Collection: Starveil - Oil-spot Jian Zhan

TPK Exclusive.

Starveil represents The Phoenix Kiln’s signature mastery of electric-kiln oil-spot firing. Each surface reveals a dense constellation of crystalline spots—silver, gunmetal, or deep blue—suspended against a dark, polished glaze. These formations arise only within a narrow window of heatwork and oxidation, making each piece a singular record of controlled transformation.
The series is defined by clarity, balance, and depth: crisp crystallization, luminous metallic sheen, and a veil-like distribution of spots that evokes a quiet, celestial field. Starveil pieces display remarkable adaptability under different lighting, shifting from subtle mineral shimmer to a vivid starry radiance.
As an exclusive TPK glaze line, every Starveil vessel is independently judged for symmetry, surface precision, and visual rhythm. The result is a refined, collector-oriented interpretation of the classic oil-spot tradition, elevated through contemporary technique and uncompromising quality.

Handmade in Shuiji Town, Jianyang, Fujian, with local iron-rich clay and naturally iron-bearing mineral glaze.
